Tough Times define your program's culture

We hear a lot about "culture" in sports and it certainly has it's place. Too often it is linked to successful programs that depend on their culture to keep them on top.

Have you ever thought about how to create culture from the bottom up. This is all about getting young players to adopt the program's substance and direction, even when things aren't going well. It's in these tough times that culture must become strong enough to gain lessons from each bump in the road. Without perseverance, a program with a weak culture will disband it in a second. No matter how tough times are, remember what your program depends on; it's culture.
